Our adversaries are waging a new kind of war—using sophisticated capabilities in every operating domain to challenge our historical overmatch. Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) will transform how the Department of Defense (DOD) counters these threats, enabling the joint force to converge effects from all five domains—land, sea, air, space, and cyber. However, legacy sensors and systems, developed separately by each of the military services, often aren’t compatible. To deliver on the promise of JADC2, DOD needs to automate and modernize its C2 systems.
